Delhi reports 34 cases of dengue; no deaths reported so far

Whereas the cases of malaria and chikungunya are also rising in the capital city.

Along with the rise in Covid-19 cases, the cases of dengue are also rising in the national capital. The capital city witnessed an increase in dengue cases after the arrival of monsoon season. Usually in monsoon, water gets contaminated which occurs due to inappropriate hygiene conditions in the living areas.

According to the report given by the Municipal Corporation, Delhi witnessed 34 cases of dengue at the end of 11th September.

According to the statement given by an official from the Municipal Corporation, "There were significant challenges last year. Most people with other ailments didn't go to the hospital for fear of Covid-19 and the data wasn't immediately shared even for those who did. This made it difficult to carry out breeding control measures. This year, we have started spraying insecticides and are conducting fogging for adult mosquitoes."

Meanwhile, the cases of malaria and chikungunya are also at a rise in the capital city.
