Delhi Traders To Hold Protest Against DDMA, If Weekend Curfew Not Lifted

Traders are unhappy with the DDMA's Decision

On Friday, the Business fraternity in the National Capital expressed disappointment against the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) decision. The traders are not satisfied with the odd-even scheme in the capital city.

According to the chamber of traders (CTI) they said, they will stage protest across Delhi if the Delhi Disaster management authority (DDMA) doesn't revise its decision in the next two to three days, the statement read, "We request DDMA chairman LG Anil Baijal to remove the odd-even and weekend curfew keeping in mind the livelihood of 20 lakh traders and their 40lakh employees.

If there's no relief in the next two-three days, the CTI will agitate with traders from all over Delhi" said Goyal. The CTI chairman further said 20lakh traders are deeply disappointed by the LG Anil Baijal decision.

The covid-19 infection has impacted the livelihoods badly. Schools, college, gym, and all the other restrictions had led towards closure.

The city is witnessing an incessant rise in cases. On Friday Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal passed a notice to the Delhi LG Anil Baijal, to review the decision for reopening and restrictions for the National capital.

Currently, the National capital is witnessing weekend curfews and odd-even schemes in markets and shopping places. Private offices and other departments are working under 50 percent capacity in the city. Restaurants and eatery shops are running with takeaway services which has hampered a lot in the daily livelihood.
