Farmers to block roads on Saturday

After the clash at Red fort, decided to march past parliament on Monday but it was cancelled and analysing the budget report they decided to block the roads across the country.

Farmers who have been protesting against the farm's three rules of the farm have called for a nationwide strike "to stop" on Saturday. The protest period will be three hours - from noon to 3pm - as they plan to block traffic on highways. The announcement was made on Monday evening - the day on which a march was scheduled to be held in parliament - Samyukt Kisan Morcha, a group of farmers' unions. The protest is against the ban on the internet in areas near their riots, allegedly by authorities, the reduction of power and water in their protest areas and other issues.

Farmers also expressed dissatisfaction with the unions' budget introduced on Monday, saying they were "ignored". The new plans come in the wake of last week's tractor meeting, which ended in violence and chaos, depriving farmers of the benefits of their peaceful protests. Many had criticized the protesters on social media. In areas such as Uttar Pradesh and Haryana, locals are demanding that farmers protest in the area.

Following Tuesday's violence at Red Fort, when thousands of protesters ransacked the Mughal-style building and hoisted the Sikh religious flag, farmers' organizations closed the rally. They had even postponed a planned march to parliament on Monday. Shortly afterwards, authorities in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, intervened, ordering the protesters to leave the Ghazipur-Meerut Highway, where they had been camping for more than two months.
