Incident took place in UP's Muzaffarnagar
One of the most trending videos over social media which is getting shared constantly and rapidly among the users is also creating controversy after the renowned Hair Stylist Jawed Habib seen spitting on women's hair during a seminar.
The incident took place at a workshop being conducted by the Hairstylist Jawed Habib in Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar.
According to the information, A First information report (FIR) has been filed against the Hairstylist.
The Muzaffarnagar Police official shared the details of the complainant in connection to the Hairstylist "spitting on women's hair". The information mentions, FIR has been lodged under section 355 (assault or criminal force with intent to dishonour person, otherwise than on grave provocation) and 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) of the Indian penal code (IPC), and the relevant sections of the epidemic act.
After the video went viral on social media numerous users were seen angry. Also, the National Commission for women came into action and has asked the Uttar Pradesh police to probe the matter.
However, a fresh video has also been released from Jawed Habib apologizing for his action. He said Some words spoken by me during my seminar have hurt a few people, “I just want to say one thing… These are professional workshops, as in, they are attended by people from within our profession. When these sessions get very long, we have to make them humorous. What can I say? If you are truly hurt, I apologize from the bottom of my heart. Please forgive me, I'm sorry.” said the renowned hairstylist.
