India reports 2,226 New COVID-19 Cases

65 Deaths related to the infection!


Covid-19 is not completely over yet. The cases of the horrific coronavirus are substantially increasing and the death rate has also increased in the country. 

 

India witnesses 2,226 new cases of Coronavirus and 65 Deaths have been reported in the country. The overall total tally of COVID-19 cases peaked at 4,31,36,371, while the active cases dipped to 14,955.

 

The death count climbed to 5,24,413 with 65 more people dying due to the virus, yesterday's data showed.

 

According to the information given by the ministry it said, The active cases comprise 0.03 percent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate was recorded at 98.75 percent, the ministry said.

 

Whereas the National capital Delhi logs 365 new Covid-19 cases, 530 recoveries, and 1 death. Total cases rise to 1,903,554 including 1,875,381 recoveries, 26,201 deaths, and 1,912 active cases.

 

Meanwhile, more than 193.53 crores (1,93,53,58,865) vaccine doses have been provided to states/UTs so far through the government of India (free of cost channel) and through direct state procurement category, and more than 16.53 crore (16,53,73,860) balance and unutilized covid vaccine doses are still available with the states/UTs to be administered.

 

Vaccination for the age group 12-14 years was started on 16 March 2022. So far, more than 3.24 crore (3,24,75,018) adolescents have been administered the first dose of the vaccine. Similarly, the Covid-19 precaution dose administration for the the age group 18-59 years also started from 10th Aril, 2022 onwards.
