India’s COVID-19 Cases Now At 44,059 Tally Crosses 91 lakh Mark.

Surge in Covid cases in Urban Centers


The Health Ministry’s data on Monday showed a record of 44,059 new cases of the novel coronavirus since Sunday. The total tally of infected people in the country is now 91.3lakh.

In the past 24 hours the COVID-19 infection cases are 44,059, with a rise in the total number of cases which is now 91,39,886. Death toll is now mounted at 1,33,738. In India the total active cases are at 4,43,486.

In its latest update the Union Health Ministry said, over 85.62 lakh COVID-19 patients have been cured and 41,024 new discharges were made in the past 24 hours. After the United States of America, India has the world's second highest number of COVID-19 cases.

The center has been taking all the measures to make the vaccine for the corona virus a quick and easily distributed product amongst all the citizens of the nation. Four out of the five vaccines are in the Phase 2/3 trails and one is in the Phase 1/2 trails.

The daily count of the corona virus infection has remained below 50,000 for some time, multiple urban areas have seen a surge which ultimately resulted in imposing night curfews in some cities and several other measures by the respective state governments.
