Kabul airport blasts: 85 civilians including 13 US troops killed in bomb blasts

US President Joe Biden condemned the attack and promised to hunt down the attackers and make them pay for it.


85 people were killed in multiple bomb blasts outside Kabul airport on Thursday. The Health officials of Afghanistan said that at least 72 Afghans and 13 US service personnel were killed in the blast, which included women and children.

According to Afghanistan's Ministry of Public Health 140 people were wounded in the attack, reported CNN. Reportedly, Capt. Bill Urban of US Central Command (Centcom) said that eighteen US service members were injured other than the 13 troops who died in the blasts.

US President Joe Biden condemned the attack and promised to hunt down the attackers and make them pay for it. He warned the perpetrators that they will neither forgive nor forget. However, he declined to extend the August 31 deadline to withdraw the US troops from Afghanistan.
