PM Modi to inaugurate Railway projects in Ahmedabad today

PM Modi to inaugurate Railway projects and new attractions in Ahmedabad today. He will also inaugurate an aquatic gallery,robotic gallery and the nature park in Ahmedabad's Science City.


On Friday (July 16) PM Modi will virtually inaugurate projects in Ahmedabad which include three new attractions at science city and multiple Railway projects which include the newly redeveloped Gandhinagar Capital Railway station, gauge converted cum electrical Mahesana- Varetha line and the newly electrified Surenranagar- Pipavav section. PM will also inaugurate an aquatic gallery, robotic gallery and nature park in Science city.

According to the tweet, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "At 4:30 PM tomorrow, 16 July, a range of interesting development works will be inaugurated in Gujarat. These works cover the environment nature, Railways and science", said the tweet. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Railway station of his hometown Vadanagar, where he spent his childhood selling tea, after which he became the Prime Minister of India. The Railway station building has been given a heritage look with a cost of rupees 8.5 crores.

According to the statement was given by SS Rathore, the Chairman of Gandhi Nagar Railway and Urban Development (GRAUD) project said, the refurbished railway station sports the look of modern airport and is located a few steps away from the Mahatma Gandhi Conventional and exhibition centre. He said, the railway station will have green building features and special efforts have been made towards the detailing of the station like special ticket counter, ramps, lifts and parking spaces.

Divisional Manager (WR), Sumit Awasthi said, "The Mahatma Mandir Convention Centre in Gandhinagar is becoming the venue of choice for organising National and International events such ad exhibition , conferences etc. There was a lack of  proper connectivity and accommodation. As a result, Gandhinagar Capital Railway station has been redeveloped incorporating a 318-  room swanky hotel within." said the DM
