Shiv Sena Will Contest West Bengal Elections 2021

West Bengal elections will see Shiv Sena contesting in assembly polls this year confirms minister.


Sanjay Raut made an announcement through his official twitter account on Sunday stating that his party Shiv Sena will contest in the run to the assembly election which is due later this year in West Bengal. This move by the Sena is extending the high pitched contest between the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Mr Raut, an MP and top spokesperson of the party’s tweet read “So, here is the much awaited update. After discussion with party Chief Shri Uddhav Thakrey, Shivsena has decided to contest in the West Bengal Assembly Elections. We are reaching Kolkata soon.”

Various political parties which mainly includes the BJP, Congress and the left parties are making crucial arrangements and preparations for the assembly elections in the state of West Bengal and the ruling TMC led by Mamata Banerjee might come to an end on May 30. Sunil Arora the Election Commission Chief along with other election commissioners like Sushil Chandra and Rajiv Kumar will be visiting the state of Assam and West Bengal early next week to take the stock of assembly polls preparations in the two states where the polls are scheduled for later this year.
