Shruti Seth recently made a comeback to her fitness routine

Shruti Seth, who loves to inspire her Instagram followers with her yoga workouts, had to take a break after from the exercise routine after she injured her hand. The actor recently made a comeback to her fitness routine. She is back to her love - yoga, she is enjoying it more than ever. 

 

She is an Indian actress and video jockey. Having begun her career as television show host, she gained wider recognition with her roles as comedian in several television shows and the Hindi film industry. A significant turning point came in her career when she cast in the role of Jiya Malhotra, a teenage witch in Star Plus's comedy series Shararat. 

 

She is also a fitness enthusiast. The actor on multiple occasions, has been spotted speaking of the benefits of taking fitness routines seriously. She believes in the power of fitness and the transformation it is capable of doing to the body and the soul. Shruti, when not working, is usually seen in the quaint corners of her own living room, working out in a yoga asana or a high intensity workout routine. 

 

Shruti keeps sharing snippets of her yoga diaries on her Instagram profile. A day back, she shared a short video of herself acing a handstand in her living room. She dressed in a black tank top and a pair of black gym trousers, the actor can be seen engrossed in her routine. She celebrated World Health Day, a day back, with the video and her fitness mantra - "why feel good when you can feel great." 

 

Handstand is one of those superhuman stunts performed by gymnasts in Olympics or dancers who perform unbelievable moves on their hands with their legs in the air. Handstand is literarily standing on the hand. It may be quite strange at first, but the act of turning your world - your body upside down is quite a normal act in the world. 

 

Handstand comes with multiple health benefits. It helps in strengthening the spine and aiding the bone health of shoulders, arms and wrists. Being a weight - bearing exercise, it helps in boosting overall bone health and reducing the risk of osteoporosis. When incorporated in the daily fitness routine, handstand also helps in improving circulation and breathing. 

 

Avoid handstand when you have: 

 

* High or low blood pressure 

 

* A heart condition 

 

* Any back, shoulder, or neck concerns 

 

* Any concerns with blood moving to your head

 

* Glaucoma 

 

* Women who are menstruating or pregnant should avoid inversions unless practicing under the supervision of a yoga teacher.
