15 days left to meet the November 15 deadline….


Focusing on an order given by the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to make the roads of the state pothole-free by November 15, the leaves of all PWD officers have been cancelled for the next month.


As per the information, The instruction given by the state government to all the chief engineers said that no PWD officers would be sanctioned leaves for the next month.


Further the information stated that, If any PWD officer needs leave due to unavoidable circumstances, their cases will be sent to the headquarters for approval.


All the districts were also given strict instructions to send progress reports to the state government every day. The regional chief engineers are required to provide daily reports to the government regarding the progress of the work.


Several teams will be sent from the headquarters level to check the construction works in all the zones within 10 days.


According to an official statement it read; All the departments related to road construction including PWD, Urban Development, Irrigation, Housing and Urban Planning, Rural Development, Rural Engineering, Sugarcane Development, and Industrial Development should prepare a comprehensive action plan in this regard. It is necessary to have good roads in industrial areas and agricultural market areas. Special attention should be given to this. This campaign to rid roads of potholes should be completed by November 15,” said the official statement.


This is to fast-track the progress of the development of roads. Prasada also said that the officials are told to submit progress reports daily.
