100th episode of PM’s “Mann Ki Baat” celebrated, projection mapping performed at iconic locations

This episode was also broadcasted live from the UN headquarters in New York


The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), under the Ministry of Culture, organised at least 13 projection mapping shows on the theme "nation-building" at famous spots around the country to commemorate the 100th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's monthly programme "Mann Ki Baat."

 

According to the ministry, the 13 iconic sites included Red Fort and Pradhan Mantri Sangrahalaya in New Delhi, Sun Temple in Odisha, Golconda Fort in Hyderabad, Vellore Fort in Tamil Nadu, Gateway of India in Mumbai, Navratnagarh Fort in Jharkhand, Ramnagar Fort in Jammu and Kashmir's Udhampur, Rang Ghar in Assam, the Residency building in Lucknow, Sun Temple in Modhera, Gujarat, and Chittorgarh Fort in Rajasthan.

 

These broadcasts presented inspirational stories of regular Indians, cultural heritage, and hailed the nation's progress. The ASI also released a series of images of the projection mapping performances, which were free to the public, on its Twitter account, with guests captured watching Mann Ki Baat episodes.

 

In the instance of laser display in the Rang Ghar, an Ahom-era amphitheatre in Assam's Sivasagar district, garnered much condemnation after religious symbols were projected. Protests were staged by political leaders and others who were outraged by the display of various religious symbols

.

After hundreds of locals took to the streets on Friday, holding placards against the laser show and chanting slogans against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the state government, Sivasagar district deputy commissioner Aditya Vikram Yadav said it was just a "misunderstanding."

 

On Sunday, PM Modi's radio show 'Mann Ki Baat' reached its 100th edition, which was broadcast live from the United Nations headquarters in New York.

 

Following the completion of the 100th episode, Union Home Minister Amit Shah stated that through the broadcast, the prime minister crafts messages that venture into the nooks and crannies of the country and build bridges between the people and the government.
