10th and 12th new session to start from July 1

New sessions for classes 3 to 9 will start on April 3 and sessions for classes 10 and 12 will start on July 1.


The new academic session for classes 10 and 12 in Delhi government schools will start from July 1. The Directorate of Education has released the timeline for examinations and results of 2020-21 for all its classes and has set a date for the start of the new session. New sessions for classes 3 to 9 will start on April 3 and sessions for classes 10 and 12 will start on July 1.

The Directorate of Education has also fixed the timeline for the students studying in classes 9 and 11 of Delhi government, Delhi government aided and NDMC schools. The online entry of marks obtained by these students in mid-term and pre board examinations will be from 22 March to 19 April. After this, the Common Annual School Examination will start from 3 May.

Results of both classes will be released on June 15. The next classes i.e.  10th and 12th students of the academic session 2021-22, classes will start from July 1.

The Directorate of Education has asked all government, government aided and NDMC schools to make this information available to all teachers, students and parents through the School Management Committee / SMS / Phone College. In view of Covid-19, all schools have been asked to follow these instructions for the session 2020-21. Also, it has been advised to follow this timeline if there are no annual examinations in private schools.

Assignments and projects have been taken from students and now marks will be entered online by 25 March. Class 3 and 8 results will be released by 31 March. From April 1, classes for classes 3 to 9 will start. On the other hand, the Pre-Board Examination of Class 9 to 12 students will start from March 20. It will run till 15 April.
