Railway employees granted with bonus
On Thursday Indian Railway announced that it will disburse bonus worth 78 days wages to 11.5 8lakh non-gazetted employees within the next few days this announcement comes after a day when PM Narendra Modi lead Union Cabinet approved disbursal productivity and non productivity linked bonus for the year 2019- 20 over 30lakh Central Government employees.
The government has announced the second stimulus to Central Government employees to encourage spending during the season and added to demand in economics the financial implication of payment or 78 days productivity linked bonus for Railway employees has been estimated to be rupees 208 1.68 crore.
The productivity linked bonus On The Railway covers all the non gazetted Railway employees excluding RPF and RPSF personnel who are spread over the entire country the payment of the bonus is eligible to Railway employees and is made each year before the Dussehra holidays maximum amount payable per eligible Railway employees is rupees 17,951 for 78 days
According to a statement around 11.58lakh non-gazetted Railway employees are likely to get benefit from this decision. The decision of the cabinet shall be implemented before the holidays of this year as a large PLB equivalent to 78 days where it is expected to motivate the employees for working towards improvement of the performance in the Indian Railways.
"The acknowledgement of their work will enhance the sense of inclusiveness and belongingness in Railway families. It is expected to enhance the productivity levels further. It is also expected to help in consumer spending and boosting demand during the festive times," stated the ministry.
