11th Round Of Farmer-Govt Meet Remain Inconclusive Today.

11th round of talks between the farmers and the union remain inconclusive.


The 11th round of meeting between the farmers and the center held today at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi came to an end but with inconclusive results as both the sides remained fivex on their stands and could not even reach a decision for the next date for the meeting. The State President of BKU Krantikari (Punjab), Surjeet Singh Phul said “No date for the next meeting has been fixed by the government.”

SS Pandher of the Kisaan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee said that after the break from the first session the Union Ministers made the farmer leaders wait for three and a half hours and when they entered the room they asked the farmers to consider the proposal by the government and end the process of the meetings. Agriculture Minister Narendra Tomar said that there are no problems in the farm laws brought by the government but the government offered to suspend the implementation of the laws for 12-18 months as a sign of respect for farmers. The government also said that they had offered a proposal to the farmers and in case the farmers have a better proposal then they can come to the government.

The tractor parade on January 26 will take place as decided, said a farmer leader. The farmers say that they have informed the Delhi Police and it is now the responsibility of the government to ensure that it is peaceful.
