12 civilians injured in a grenade attack.


In a gruesome terrorist attack last night, in the Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir twelve civilians were severely injured in a grenade attack by militants on a group of security personnel, said the police. The militants hurled the grenade, which missed its target and exploded on the road PTI reported, quoting a police official.

The attack took place in the Kakapora area of Pulwama where twelve civilians sustained serious injuries and were later taken to a nearby district hospital, added the police official.

The areas have been fenced off and a hunt has been launched to nab down the attackers.Initially this week, four civilians which included a seven year old boy lost his life in an “unprovoked ceasefire violation” along the Line of Control by the neighboring country Pakistan in Northern Kashmir. A BSF jawan and four soldiers died in the firing and at least six to eight Pakistani soldiers died in the counter-violence.
