14-year-old boy intoxicated and raped, judge and 2 others booked

Special judge Jitendra Singh Goliya suspended and booked along with two others for gang raping a teen boy


On Sunday, a judge was suspended after being booked along with two others for allegedly raping a 14-year-old boy in Rajasthan’s Bharatpur district. The judge Jitendra Singh Goliya and the two other accused have been identified as Anshul Soni, the Judge’s steno and Rahul Katara, another staff of the judge befriended the boy at the District Club Company Bagh where he used to go for tennis practice.

The victim’s mother in her complaint alleged that the judge who handles cases connected to the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), and the two others had been sexually assaulting her son by intoxicating him with some narcotic substance for the past one month. Apparently, Jitendra Singh Goliya and the other two accused threatened him with dire consequences if he spoke about his ordeal, she alleged in her complaint.

“On the basis of the complaint, an FIR has been registered against Judge Jitendra Goliya and two others for rape and other charges under sections of POCSO Act. The investigation of the case has been handed over to a senior officer,” Mathura Gate SHO Ram Nath said. The police revealed that the victim’s family also alleged that the ACB circle officer Parmeshwar Lal Yadav, along with Anshul Soni and Rahul Katara also threatened to kill the boy. The investigation is still underway.

When it comes to IPC section 376 (rape), Rajasthan tops the list with an incidence (FIRs registered) of 5,310 and 5,337 victims, translating into a rate of 13.9. For attempt to commit rape (sec 376/511 IPC) too, Rajasthan tops the list with an incidence of 965 and 968 victims.
