According to the Uttar Pradesh (UP) police two boys both aged 14 and students studying in the 10th standard had a fight over a seat in the classroom of their school. One of the boys went home and got his uncle’s gun and shot the other one dead in the Bulandshahr district of UP on Thursday.

Santosh Kumar Singh, a senior police officer said “The two apparently had a fight about sitting in class yesterday. The accused went home and stole a licensed revolver belonging to his uncle, who is in the army and currently on leave at home.” The police added further that the accused came to class and shot the other student and was later taken into custody at the scene itself. Another country made gun was also found in his bag which suggests his determination to carry out the shooting.

At around 11AM the incident occurred after the first two periods of the class. The classmate of the accused was shot thrice in the head, chest and stomach and died right on the spot. The accused tried to escape from the school after committing the crime where he walked down from the ground floor to the first floor where the incident happened, he also fired in the air to discourage others who were trying to catch him. Few teachers from the school managed to overpower him and took his gun away but the boy still kept fighting back said the police.
