To take revenge from her father…
In Maharashtra’s Kalyan, a 15-year-old boy allegedly raped and murdered a nine-year-old girl to take revenge from her father as he got into a fight a couple of days ago with him, said police.
The incident came into light when the body of a nine-year-old girl was found in the premises of a residential society in Kalyani West region near the Kalyan railway station early Thursday morning. A police team reached the spot after receiving information about the incident.
The police team filed a panchnama and started the initial investigation. Police identified the boy after scanning CCTV footage and after questioning some people in the area about the boy's whereabouts, they took him in their custody and brought him to Mahatma Phule police station.
During questioning, the boy told police that he had a bad fight with the girl's father a couple of days ago and was also allegedly assaulted. To take revenge for the assault, the boy kidnapped the girl, raped her and then slit her throat with a sharp blade.
The Mahatma Phule police registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and sent the boy to an observation home. Further investigation is going on.
