17 killed in Pakistan...

Bus-truck collision...


On 3 February 2023, a passenger bus had a collision with a speeding truck trailer near a tunnel in northern Pakistan on Thursday night. Nearly 17 people died including women and children, the rescue official said.

According to the rescue official Rehmat Ullah, the incident happened in Kohat district terminal on Indus highway nearly 40km southwest of Peshawar in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The injured were shifted to the district headquarter hospital in Kohat. The accident happened due to the brake fail of the truck.

Following the incident, Haji Gulam Ali the governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and the caretaker chief minister Azam khan have expressed their condolences over the fatal accident. 

As per the information received by the police officials, only one person was injured and nearly 17 died. Tv footage showed pictures of the destroyed bus.

Earlier on Sunday a similar incident happens when a passenger bus collided with a pillar and fell from the bridge in Balochistan province that caught fire and approximate 40 people died

Deadly accidents are common in Pakistan due to bad road conditions.
