18-Year-Old Gym Enthusiast Dies During Lecture

Teen Faces Cardiac Arrest in Indore Tutorial Class…

An 18-year-old student passed away from a suspected cardiac arrest while attending a lecture at a coaching center in Indore on Wednesday.

CCTV footage reveals Raj Lodhi abruptly slumping over at his desk. He was subsequently transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Raj, originally from Satna, had relocated 650km to Indore for preparation for competitive exams, as mentioned by Rajkumar Yadav, the in-charge of Bhanwarkuan police station.

Teachers at the coaching institute reported that Raj expressed sudden pain and uneasiness at 12:49 pm.

While attentively listening to the lecture, Raj folded his hands, but suddenly slumped forward onto the desk. Initially, his friend Rahul Yadav thought he might be sleepy, but as he observed Raj's expressions shifting with apparent pain, he attempted to comfort him by rubbing his back. However, Raj's body became stiff, leading to him falling from the bench, according to Rahul Yadav's account.

After the teachers notified the coaching management, Raj was quickly taken to the hospital within 5-7 minutes. Unfortunately, despite medical attention, he was declared dead by the doctors. His family members arrived in Indore that night, and following an autopsy on Thursday, Raj's body was handed over to them. He was later cremated in his hometown.

Dr. Bharat Vajpayee, who performed the initial autopsy, stated, "It is suspected he died of a cardiac arrest, but the exact cause will be clear after the examination is over."

Raj, as shared by his elder brother Akshay, followed a 'protein diet' and maintained a routine of hitting the gym at 5 am daily. He had been dealing with hair fall and had recently taken some pills for it. Their father, Madhav Lodhi, is employed with the PHE department.
