2 dead, Blast inside Court complex in Ludhiana

Few injuries have also been reported

A blast took place inside a court complex in Punjab's Ludhiana. According to the information, 2 people have been reported dead and around four people have been under serious injury due to the explosion in the complex.

As per the information, the blast occurred at 12:22 pm in a washroom on the second floor of the complex. Due to the blast, it was reported that the walls of the washroom and glass panes of the nearby rooms have been shattered into pieces. 

During the incident, the district court was functioning. As per the update, police have cordoned off the area and fire engines are on the spot.

According to the tweet, the former Punjab chief minister asked the police to probe that matter thoroughly. "Disturbing news of a blast at Ludhiana court complex. Saddened to know about the demise of 2 individuals, praying for the recovery of those injured. @PunjabpoliceInd must go to the bottom of this,” said the former CM.
