200 Farmers to protest outside Parliament during monsoon session: Rakesh Tikait. The farmer's body said that any attempt to stop the farmers from protesting "will be illegal and unconstitutional. "


Thousands of farmers have been protesting since last year on November 26. They have been protesting to repeal the three farm laws which have been implemented by the Government. 

Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader, Rakesh Tikait said that 200 farmers will be protesting outside the parliament during the monsoon session. He said "We will sit outside parliament while proceedings (monsoon sessions)will continue in the House. Around 200 people will go there towards parliament by bus. We will pay the fare. It will be a peaceful protest. Today we will have the meeting and we will plan the strategy." said the BKU leader.

According to the statement given by Sanyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) in a press release farmers from Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh and Karnataka who have been protesting at Delhi birders will be taking part in methodical and peaceful protest, outside the parliament. 

Meanwhile, monsoon has arrived in the National Capital and several parts whereas farmers who have been protesting for one year have now started preparing themselves. They have set up tent roofs with metal bodies and batteries with powered lights whereas cleaning drives to avoid water settling at one place, said PTI.
