24-Year-Old Woman Shot Dead in South Delhi

Lover's Brother Suspected in the Tragic Incident...

A 24-year-old woman in New Delhi's Jaitpur area was shot dead in her home yesterday by two assailants, one of whom was her lover's brother.

She was rushed to a nearby hospital, but upon her arrival, doctors declared her deceased.

The incident took place at approximately 9 pm on Friday night when the assailants, wearing masks, forcefully entered her home. They fired five shots, and the victim has been identified as 24-year-old Pooja Yadav.

Upon hearing the gunshots, nearby residents rushed to the scene and pursued the two gunmen. They successfully intercepted the motorcycle the attackers were using for their escape, forcing the gunmen to flee on foot.

In a significant development, the police have apprehended one suspect in the case. The accused, identified as Rocky, is the brother of Pooja's lover, Krishan. It is believed that Rocky disapproved of their relationship and was the motive behind Pooja's tragic death.

Krishan, aged 37, was married and a father of four children. Despite his marital status, he was engaged in an extramarital affair with Pooja, who was his coworker. Due to Rocky's objections to their relationship, Pooja was compelled to resign from her job.
