28-year-old murdered, Accused on run

Woman found with neck slashed in Noida Complex, cash and valuables worth 5 lakh stolen

On Wednesday night, a 28-year-old woman named Pinky was found murdered inside a flat in the Greater Noida complex. The incident took place in Sector Zeta 1 at Paramount Golfforeste villas. The police said that the victim’s throat has been slit with a knife between 1pm-3pm that day. Cash, jewellery worth 5 lakhs and her mobile phone were missing.

Arjun, Pinky’s cousin’s brother-in-law is the prime suspect who is missing. The father, Kalu Singh Chauhan works at a transportation industry and they had shifted into the house about a year ago from Noida’s Chhalera. Pinky’s parents had gone for shopping to buy some essentials for the puja that they were planning to do the next day. The deceased’s brother was at work when the incident took place. When Pinky’s parents returned around 10pm they kept knocking but Pinky did not answer the main door.

After several knocks they used a spare key to enter the house. They found Pinky lying on the floor in a pool of blood. They immediately called an ambulance and informed the police. By the time Pinky was taken to the hospital she was already declared dead. Pinky’s parents found multiple injuries on her neck and stomach. The body has been sent for post mortem and the reports are being awaited.

It was found that Arjun entered the complex around 1pm and left on a two-wheeler around 3pm. Pinky’s phone and some of her jewellery were retrieved from Arjun’s house in Noida. The police have detained Arjun’s father for further questioning. A FIR has been lodged against Arjun under section 302(murder) of the IPC. And more sections will be added once the records their statement.
