3 Killed, 4 Trapped After Building Collapses In Delhi Amid Rain

Five fire trucks were sent to the building located in the Old Delhi area.


Amid heavy rainfall where capital city and the NCR regions are facing traffic and waterlogging issues. Around three have been reported dead and 4 have been trapped after a building collapses in Delhi. 

Three people including a four-year-old child were killed and four were trapped after a building collapsed in Delhi's Lahori Gate.

The fire department officer said they got a call about the incident at 7:30 pm while it was still raining.

 

Five fire trucks were sent to the building located in the Old Delhi area.

 

It has been raining non-stop since Saturday 

afternoon in Delhi. The traffic police have also alerted motorists to be careful about flooded roads, especially under flyovers.

 

Several urban trees on loose soil weakened by the day- and night-long rain have fallen on the roads across the city, making it extremely dangerous for motorists.

 

Not only the capital city, many other states and cities are witnessing a mishap related to rain and rain -related incidents. 

 

At least two persons were killed and 21 others suffered burn injuries when lightning struck them during a football match in Odisha’s Sundergarh district, police said. One of the deceased was a football player while most of the injured people were spectators.

 

The incident occurred during a local football match at Baneilata under the Nuagaon block of the district, about 350 km from the state capital, on Sunday. Though the sky was cloudy, there was no rain in the area when lightning struck the playground, police said.
