7 Children Injured in Delhi School Van Collision Accident

Near Sadar Bazar Area Raises Safety Concerns


On Tuesday afternoon, a collision between a school van and another vehicle in the Sadar Bazar Road area of southwest Delhi left seven children injured, according to the police.

 

According to ANI reports, the Delhi Cantt Police Station received a PCR call about a student-carrying van accident on Tuesday at 1:18 pm.

 

Officials explained that the accident occurred as the van collided with another vehicle in front of the Radha Krishan Mandir.

 

Approximately six to seven students, aged between 6 and 7 years, sustained injuries in the accident and were initially given first aid at Cantt. Hospital. Subsequently, most of the students were transported to other hospitals by their parents, as per the information provided by the police.

 

Balvir, the van driver, was referred to DDU Hospital for medical treatment, and Naveen, the driver of the other vehicle, has been taken into custody by the police.

 

The injured students are presently receiving treatment and are in stable condition. Police have stated that legal actions will be taken following the investigation.
