Four men arrested in two separate raids, 72kg of ganja seized by Task Force Sleuths

On Thursday, four men were arrested in two separate raids by the Task Force Sleuths. About 72 kilograms of ganja was confiscated during the raid.  In one case, the cops zeroed in on Narsing Singh and Ramavath Ramesh who are both residents of SR Nagar and they were arrested from their house in Rehmath Nagar in Yousufguda with a contraband of 70kg ganja.

As per reports, the cops suspect that they had sourced it from Sileru in AP. During the press meet on Thursday, the Hyderabad police commissioner Anjani Kumar said that Ramavath earlier sold liquor but later turned to ganja and started working with Bharat Singh. Both had been arrested earlier. Ramavath was arrested in 1994.

After being released from jail Ramavath started driving autos, but soon joined hands with Narsing Singh to sell ganja. In the other case, two men, Kishore Singh and Mohammed Feroz who are residents of Dhoolpet and Chaderghat respectively were arrested with 2 kilograms of ganja while searching for customers.

Around a week ago, the Hyderabad City police, task force and east zone in a joint operation seized 300 kilograms of ganja worth 300lakh and arrested two interstate ganja smugglers. The accused were identified as Vilas Bhausaheb Dhokane and Dnyaneshwar Mohite both of who are natives of Aurangabad and Ahmed Nagar districts of Maharashtra. Their modus Operandi was to take the ganja from the Andhra-Odisha border in the Vizag rural area. They were booked under the provisions of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) said the police.
