850 oxygen plants being set up across India from PM Cares Fund, says DRDO


The rise in Covid-19 cases in the  mid of April had created havoc among the people as it created a crisis for oxygen, people were seen gasping for oxygen. Meanwhile, The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) on Monday said that 850 oxygen plants are being set up across India from the PM Cares Fund to strengthen the fight against Covid-19. 

According to the statement given by C Satish Reddy, secretary of DRDO said that they are prepared to provide all kinds of support when the need arises. He also said more hospitals would be ready and was provided by DRDO during the second wave of Covid-19. Adding that he said "We established temporary hospitals specific to Covid-19 in many cities, These are modular hospitals we call it flying hospitals, and these have been made in such a way that virus doesn't go out of the hospital. If there is any third wave, all the Hospitals will be taking loaf, and the Government is discussing all the aspects with various stakeholders." said the secretary. 

Meanwhile, India reported the lowest daily rise in Covid-19 cases today since the beginning of April. According to the data given by Union Health Ministry, it says that the country recorded 60,471 news COVID19 cases and the total caseload to 2,95,70,881.
