9 Indians, 118 Nepalese Evacuees From Kabul Arrive In Kathmandu

A medical team provided by the Army carried out antigen tests in checking people up before letting them go home or at the isolation centers.


In a chartered flight on Tuesday, nine Indians and 118 Nepalese people who work in the US embassy in Kabul arrived in Kathmandu from Afghanistan .With the help of Qatar Air's flight 127 people were able to arrive from Kabul  to Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA)Sewa Lamsal,  Minister of Foreign Affairs member, exclaimed with the cooperation with our air force, people flew to Doha, Qatar and bought to Kathmandu.

In this two isolation centers will be provided by the government. In addition to medical reports, the decision will be made by doctors in allowing people to go home. Harish Chandra Ghimire, joint secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed, the Nepal and Indian citizens who arrived on Tuesday were saved by the Americans.

Meanwhile, the Nepal government doesn’t have an accurate number of people working in Afghanistan. Since the Nepal government doesn’t have diplomatic links with Afghanistan; the Embassy in New Delhi ascribes to look after Kabul as there are no clear mechanisms in Kathmandu, especially the undocumented people, the administration adds.

From Monday, thousands of people were rushed at the Kabul international airport, horrified scenes were captured on camera, people clung onto the plane in a desperate move to get out of the country, as have been suspended from Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul. Meanwhile, the expatriate was brought safely in a Jazeera Airways plane from Kuwait.
