9740 people have vaccinated, South Delhi leads

54.11% vaccination against the total target on Monday.


9740 healthcare workers and frontline workers got vaccinations done in Delhi on Monday. The target of 18000 vaccinations was done at 180 sites, but 54.11% of the target was vaccinated.

According to the report released on Monday, the Covishield vaccine was used at 147 centers in Delhi. A total of 14,700 vaccinations were targeted here, but only 8302 vaccinations occurred during which 8 people saw mild side effects. On Monday, cocaine was given at 33 centers with a target of 3300, but 1438 vaccinated. Only 3 people reported a reaction. Vaccination was done at 22 centers in South Delhi. There was a total target of 2200 vaccination here, but 1503 people arrived. It is the highest district-wise. Not a single side effect was reported. There were four such districts in total 11 districts where more than one thousand vaccinations took place. Experts say that according to the rapid vaccination needed, it will have to be accelerated further.

Preparations to start vaccinating 60 thousand sanitation workers: After the vaccination of Covid to MCD health workers, all three MCDs are now starting preparations to vaccinate the sanitation workers working in the frontline. Together with the three MCDs, about 60 thousand sanitary workers will be vaccinated. It has 20,500 South MCDs, about 25,000 North MCDs and 15,000 sweepers of the East MCDs. According to the South and North MCD officers, the number of sweepers in the MCD is considerable.
