A 12-year-old boy from a minority community has allegedly made to chant religious slogans after being stripped in Madhya Pradesh's Indore, a video showed on social media. Indore police registered an FIR against the accused, three minors. 

 

On Wednesday afternoon the incident took place. A 45 second video shows the boy crying loudly, looking extremely scared. The three minor accused of aged 13 to 15 years, were seen in the video threating the boy and allegedly making him chant religious slogans along with slogans like 'Hindustan Zindabad' and 'Pakistan Murdabad'. All of them, the victim and the accused were lived in same locality and their parents are labourers, the police said.

 

The 12-year-old, was lured by the accused by telling him they would give him toys. Later, they allegedly took him to a secluded area where the incident happened. The victim shifted to another locality. Police said.

 

Based on a complaint from the 12-year-old’s parents, an FIR has been registered under sections 323 (causing hurt), 294 (obscene act in public place) and 365 (kidnapping for wrongful confinement) of the Indian Penal Code.

 

An inspector in charge of the jurisdictional police station said, “The three boys have been granted bail from the police station after their parents gave surety for the bail. We will produce them before a juvenile court later. Their parents, who are labourers, were shocked and said they will take corrective measures.”

 

The police requested the media not to circulate the video.
