Police reported on Monday that a 26-year-old female Delhi Police constable allegedly committed suicide at her rental residence in Mehrauli in south Delhi.
The police control room received a call in the morning about the alleged suicide.
According to the authorities, the female officer allegedly committed herself either late Sunday night or early Monday morning.
The constable, who was originally from Mizoram, was assigned to a police station in the southwest police area and resided in a rented home
"We are investigating the precise cause of her excessive action. A police official who was informed of the developments stated that additional procedures regarding the claimed suicide were being followed.
