Greed Took An Innocent Life
Few days back, In Uttar Pradesh a man who lives in Barabanki district allegedly beat his 10-year-old daughter to death as a part of course a ritual sacrifice to discover buried treasure in his home. The accused came under the influence of an occultist and committed the crime. He is a resident of the Khurd Mau Village in Barabanki's Badasarai area. The occultist told the man that a treasure was buried under his house and to reveal the location of the treasure he will have to perform a ritual on his daughter and then he have to kill her as well.
The greedy accused agreed to the ritual. He along with the occultist and another man performed the ritual on his 10-year-old daughter and then beat up her brutally which caused her death. When the accused's wife tried to stop the accused, he beat her up as well which made her unconscious. Then he buried his daughter's body in the house. When the victim's maternal grandmother came to know about this horrible incident, she called the cops and later on all accused were arrested. The cops dug out the victim's dead body from the house and sent it for a post-mortem where injury marks were found on deceased's body.
The grandmother lodged a FIR against her son-in-law. She said that her son-in-law killed her granddaughter as part of a ritual sacrifice in collusion with the occultist. According to Barabanki District SP Arvind Chaturvedi, the accused identified as Alam, he beat his daughter for greed during his wife's treatment. He also added, we have filed a case against the culprits, further investigation is underway.
