A Man Brutally Stabbed Over 25 Times by Group of Teens in Southeast Delhi

Body Dragged on Road in Shocking Act of Violence...


A 22-year-old man was ruthlessly stabbed more than 25 times, reportedly by a group of teenagers, who then dragged his body onto a road in Southeast Delhi. Alert patrolling policemen intervened, leading to a pursuit in which three of the juveniles were captured after a 2-km chase. Unfortunately, the victim succumbed to his injuries.

Gaurav Singh, who has passed away, took up various jobs to support his family. According to the police, he had a recent altercation with a group of local boys over minor issues. The conflict escalated Monday and Tuesday, leading to Gaurav scolding and allegedly hitting the boys.

To settle a score, the boys ambushed Gaurav and assaulted him on Tuesday night.

DCP (Southeast) Rajesh Deo reported that two head constables on patrol witnessed five boys dragging Gaurav in the same locality. Gaurav was found badly injured and unconscious. When the police team was spotted, the boys fled toward the NTPC station. The police acted promptly, giving chase and apprehending three of them. Unfortunately, Gaurav had succumbed to his injuries.

A video from the scene appears to capture three boys running near the NTPC station, with a police officer in pursuit. The officer successfully apprehends one of the boys. Authorities mentioned the involvement of the Station House Officer and other personnel in apprehending the teenagers.

An officer stated that the trio confessed to having a dispute with Gaurav and seeking retaliation. "They stabbed him multiple times. After questioning them, we apprehended two additional associates who aided in the incident," added Deo.

Authorities recovered a blood-stained weapon used in the crime from the possession of the individuals involved.
