New Delhi: A student from JNU has been arrested on Wednesday afternoon for allegedly raping a 25-year-old woman. For the last four years, the accused and the victim have known each other.

At Kishangarh police station the case of rape has been registered. According to the police, the man went to the woman's residence on Sunday in Munirka later on the woman approached to the police. The girl is a student at Delhi University. The accused resides in the JNU campus, police said.

The identity of the victim is not revealed yet, to protect her privacy as Supreme Court directed an order for the cases related to sexual assault.
