A US intelligence report states that Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered help to support Donald Trump during the election. At the same time, it has also been claimed that Iran conducted secret operations against Trump.

Russia's role in the Washington- American presidential elections has once again come under controversy. US intelligence agencies believe that Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered help during the presidential election, possibly in support of Donald Trump, during the presidential election held last year. A government report said that Russia had "made misleading and unproven allegations" after Biden's victory.

However, the intelligence report also stated that no foreign government had influenced the final results. Russia has consistently rejected allegations of interference in the US presidential election. A 15-page report released by the director of the National Intelligence Office stated that 'it was a campaign to influence Russia and Iran'.

The report said that individuals associated with Russia spread information without facts just before President Biden's election on 3 November. He said that the purpose of spreading fake information was to influence the entire electoral process. The report said that people associated with some Russian intelligence services spread anti-Biden information in media organizations. Biden defeated Trump in the election and assumed the post of President on 20 January.

The report said that while Russia wanted to increase Trump's chances of re-victory, Iran had conducted "several secret operations" to reduce their support. Trump had followed a policy of creating maximum pressure on Iran during his presidency. He imposed several sanctions against Iran, which intensified the war of words between the two countries. The report also said that China did not play any role during the elections.
