A woman and her employer attacked by few men.

Raising the voice against something wrong is a crime?


In Sivaganga district of Tamil Nadu a woman and her employer who were attacked by a group of men, after the woman lodged a sexual harassment complain against one of the attackers.
The woman age 32 work in a medical store, she said that a man named Pandidurai age 35, who is the owner of NML bus services in Sivaganga district, had first called her for some information and later started sexually harassing her over the phone.The woman was not able to handle the call any longer, she handed the phone to her employer Ravi.  Ravi had a conversation with Pandidurai over the phone and asked him to leave the woman alone.This made Pandidurai furious, then he went to the medical store with his associates and pelted stones at the shop.
After the incident Ravi and that woman complaint a case against Pandidurai and his fellow associates.
Police came to the spot and viewed CCTV footage that showed the woman and the shop owner Ravi with folded hand pleading to the men to stop attacking. The another footage showed the woman on the ground withering in pain. In this incident the Ravi and the woman both were injured.Police are searching Pandidurai and his five associates who were involved in the attack.
According to the police "the accused were booked under section 147 (rioting), 148 (rioting, armed with deadly weapon), 294 B (obscene acts or communication), 448 (house trespass),506(2) (criminal intimidation) and 337(act so rashly or negligently as to endanger human life), based on the complaint filed given by the medical shop owner Ravi."
