A Woman Married Three Men For Money

On Saturday, October 31, 2020, in Aurangabad police have arrested 27 year old woman on charges of duping several men on the pretext of marriage.

According to a report showed by The Times of India, the women allegedly married three men in the last three months and then on the first night she ran away with their valuables.
Police disclosed her name as Vijaya Amrute. She lives in Mukundwadi area.

Police said during the lockdown, Vijaya and her real husband lost their jobs. They were facing financial problems from past few months after lockdown, so the woman joined a racket and married three men in the last three months.

Police exposed this racket after the first victim Yogesh Shirsath of Nasik district, registered a complaint against the accused.
The victim stated that after two weeks of the marriage, on one morning he was looking for his missing wife. Then he got to know that after marrying him, she married another two men and disappeared with their valuables, like she did with him. Within few days of his complain, police arrested the accused.

The Times of India mentioned, during the preliminary probe, police revealed that the accused first married Yogesh and fled with his valuables after staying with him for a fortnight. Then she married Sandeep Darade who lives in Karjat in Raigad and did the same with him also. After few weeks she did her third marriage with a man from Western Maharashtra, his name is unidentified.

Police stated that the woman was linked to a couple that looks for men searching for a bride. Once the marriage is finalised, the couple would take Rs 2-5 lakh which also included their fee and wedding expenses. After the marriage ceremony, on first night the bride would run away with jewelleries and other valuable to become rich.
