A woman was killed by her former domestic worker and her husband

Both the accused were arrested...

In New Delhi, on Monday, a 45-year-old woman was killed and her husband was injured allegedly by their former made and her husband in northwest Delhi's Shalimar Bagh area, police said.

Both the accused have been arrested, they added. On Saturday around 11 pm police received the information, they said, adding in the victims were identified as Sonia Jain and her husband, Praveen Jain.

Shweta; earlier worked in their house as a domestic helper for more than a year, she left her job in February. There was a dispute over money between them, a senior officer said.

While Surbhi, the couple's daughter was making tea in the kitchen and in another room her father was when they heard her mother allegedly attacked by the accused.

Hearing the woman's cries, her husband came out and he was also attacked by the accused, the officer said.

The assailants fled the spot after Surbhi raised an alarm, police said.

Both the accused, who are undergoing treatment, have been arrested, police said.

By a preliminary investigation report, there was a dispute over money between the victim and the accused. Or if any other reasons are also being found, police said.

The dead woman was a homemaker, they said, adding that the accused Shweta's husband works as a security guard in a shopping mall.
