AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan Raided

Money-Laundering Investigation Ongoing


On Tuesday, government investigators searched the home of AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan in Delhi as part of a money-laundering inquiry that involves him and others, as per official sources.

 

The legislator, who is 49 years old, serves as the representative for the Okhla constituency in the Delhi Assembly.

 

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is conducting these searches under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.

 

The federal agency is looking into cases filed by both the Delhi Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Central Bureau of Investigation against the legislator. These cases are about suspected corruption related to improper appointments at the Delhi Waqf Board, where he serves as Chairman.

 

Mr. Khan currently holds the position of Chairman of the Delhi Waqf Board.
