After Visiting Famers, Arvind Kejriwal "Under House Arrest''

Arvind Kejriwal "Under House Arrest'' for showing solidarity with protesting farmers

AAP alleged that Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal has been placed under house arrest by Delhi Police after he visited the Haryana-Delhi’ border to  show solidarity with the protesting farmers.

According to AAP  under the Union home ministries orders, the police got the three mayors of Delhi to protest before the Chief Minister's residence, creating a pretext for his detainment. Chief Minister's Residence has been barricaded completely, with no one being allowed to enter or exit the premises. AAP officials alleged that all official meetings have been cancelled for the day due to the inconvenience caused.

Delhi Police Deputy Commissioner for North District denied the party's allegations, dubbing them "lies" and "baseless". "We are alert. Arvind Kejriwal left home at around 8pm yesterday and returned around 10pm. There is no issue at all," Mr Verma said.

CM Kejriwal had visited the Singhu border on Monday to meet the protesting farmers and review about their welfare. Moreover the farmers have announced a bharat bandh today against the new farm laws passed by the central government.
