AIIMS to appoint Ex-Army Officer...

To enhance the security system at AIIMS...

On 17 January 2023, All India Institute of Medical and Science (AIIMS) decided to appoint Retired army Soldiers and paramilitary forces to enhance the security of the institute.

The AIIMS Delhi removed nearly 3,000 currently posted security guards and it is said that they will be sent to another AIIMS campuses along with the preparation of appointing retired army Jawans as per the notice shared on 12 January.

According to the senior officer at AIIMS the post was removed because the company that hired them will also remove. However, the AIIMS administration has appoint Dr S S Kale who worked there as a professor and head of the department of neurosurgery to look forward the work of the department as a professor in charge who will hire the security. Dr Kale will not be entitled with any extra honorarium in addition to his own duties and responsibilities with immediate effect.

As per the information nearly 12 thousand people visit AIIMS daily for the treatment and to give them security and better service this step will be taken further.
