Air Quality Index in Poor Category

AQI touched 507 in Noida


The Capital city and the National capital region (NCR) are facing an incessant rise in the pollution level. The Air Quality of Noida has reached a "Critical" scenario whereas Gurugram, in Haryana has peaked a very poor situation.

According to the system of air quality and weather forecasting and Research (SAFAR) on Wednesday, the Air Quality Index remained 385 in the national capital. Knowing about Gurugram and Noida it touched 319 and 507 respectively.

The Air quality index (AQI) between zero and 50 is good,51-100 is satisfactory,101-200 is moderate,201-300 is poor,301-400 is very poor,401-500 is severe.

The capital city and the NCR region are reeling under incessant pollution levels. The pollution level rises in the city with the arrival of winter. The city is also witnessing a dip in temperature levels. Also, many other initiatives are being done to control the pollution level of the state. Separate night patrols have been set up for each of the 11 districts of the National capital to monitor compliance to pollution control norms for construction -related activities.

The Delhi government has also implemented several other plans to curb the pollution, many programs are taking place to minimize the impact and keep people safe from hazardous pollution.
