Air quality worsens in Delhi

AQI in 'severe' category in Noida…


On Wednesday morning, 30 November 2022, Delhi woke up blanketed in a thick layer of smog, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) dropping to 385 in the 'very poor' category, according to SAFAR (System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research).


Compared to the air quality on Tuesday, the pollution level slightly worsened today in the morning, in the national capital.

Meanwhile, the air quality in Noida was in the 'severe' category on Wednesday morning with the AQI measuring at 401, according to SAFAR. It was 391 on Tuesday. In Gurugram, the AQI (Air Quality Index) measured 339, also in the 'very poor' category.

For context, an AQI between 0 and 50 is considered good; 51 to 100 is satisfactory, 101 to 200 is moderate, 201 to 300 poor, 301 to 400 very poor, and 401 to 500 severe.

The minimum temperature in Delhi settled three notches below the usual on Tuesday at 7.3 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature is likely to settle around 27 degrees Celsius.
