All Delhi schools to reopen from Monday

Physical classes to be permitted in Delhi


 On Wednesday, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia announced that the schools in Delhi will resume in-person attendance for classes starting on Monday.

 

As per the statement, the minister said while attending the DDMA meeting that, "The government, the officials in Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) and experts are of the opinion that suspension of personal classes in schools is tremendously affecting overall growth in children. The Authority feels it is now safe to restart the schools fully. From November 1, all public and private schools will be allowed to open for all the classes for in-person attendance." Adding more the Minister also said, However, No parent will be forced to send their child to school. Online classes will continue and school will have to ensure that there is not more than 50 per cent in-person attendance in the class at any given time, in the light of Covid-19 protocols.  Almost all staff in the city's school must have taken at least one dose of Covid-19 vaccination by now., said the minister.


 

Schools and educational institutions have been shut for the last two years. The physical education classes have taken a shift towards online mode which generally creates many illnesses and health-related problems.


Covid-19 cases were out of control during the second wave of the deadly Coronavirus.  The cases were rising gradually and were creating a fear among the people to transport and commute.
