Amarinder Singh meets Sonia Gandhi amid talks of Cabinet reshuffle in Punjab

CM Amarinder Singh is likely to talk about the names for the Cabinet reshuffle and the situation of politics in Punjab, which goes to the polls next year.


Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh on Tuesday met Congress president Sonia Gandhi, amid talks to reshuffle the Cabinet in the state. Captain Amarinder Singh met Sonia Gandhi for the first time after Navjot Singh Sidhu was appointed the Punjab Congress president, which the chief minister was not in favour of.

Mr Singh is likely to talk about the names of candidates for the Cabinet reshuffle and the situation of politics in the state of Punjab, which will go to the polls next year. Amarinder is likely to take up with Gandhi, Sidhu’s attacks on the Punjab government. Moreover he will discuss the progress and present the report related to 18 issues raised by an AICC panel headed by senior Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge.

The action taken report that will be presented includes18 issues which also includes action taken against drug mafia, transport mafia and those who were involved in sacrilege of the Guru Granth Sahib.
