Amarnath Yatra To Begin From June 30

Covid Protocols to be Noted!


With an incessant rise in the cases of the deadly Covid-19, many things were forcibly stopped during the peak time. 

 

From June 30th, one of the well-known Amarnath Yatra will begin. The annual Amarnath Yatra will after two years of its suspension due to Covid-19.

 

As per the information, this announcement was made by Jammu & Kashmir lieutenant governor Manoj Sinha announced on Sunday.

 

According to the information, the pilgrimage will be held for 43 days between June 30 and August 11, when the festival of Raksha Bandhan will be celebrated. Online registration will begin on April 11. Whereas the board has decided that the pilgrimage would start simultaneously from both the routes — the Pahalgam track in Anantnag district and Baltal in Ganderbal district. Only 10,000 pilgrims will be allowed in a day on each route, excluding those traveling by helicopter.

 

There will be a battery car service for pilgrims to the 2.75km stretch between Baltal and Domel.

 

Also, the information stated that there will be a live telecast of morning and evening aarti (prayers) for devotees across the globe. An application has been made available on the Google play store to get real-time information about the pilgrimage, weather, and for availing several services online.

 

Many yantras and spiritual functions, programs, and other kinds of processions were stopped due to Covid-19 which is now returning.

 

With a downfall in the daily tally of Covid-19, the respective state governments are coming up with their decisions.
