Work from home for Amazon employees gets extended


Well known E-Commerce company  'Amazon ' has decided to let its employee work from home until June 2021, extending the timeline to return to the office due to the ongoing covid-19 pandemic. Whereas covid-19 cases are incessantly increasing and there is a rise in the cases during this festive time. Almost its maximum employees we're contracted with corona-virus and employees have been selflessly working after the recovery, during Covid-19 pandemics every product starting from household to personal care products have been ordered online and there was a huge demand over the orders.

According to a statement, an Amazon spokeswoman said that "IT employee who worked in a role that can effectively be done from home are welcome to do so until June 30th 2021 and guidance is applicable globally ", she said we have invested significant funds and resources to keep those who choose to come to office use physical distancing, deep cleaning, temperature check and by providing face covering and hand sanitizer, have been kept ready for the employee's safety.

Earlier this month E-Commerce and said that over 19,800 of its employee have been tested positive for the covid-19 starting of March, the figures released by Amazon after some workers in Logistic Center criticize the company's safeguards to protect them from the pandemic as well as its hesitation to share information about the colleagues get infected.

Twitter became the first major tech company to allow employees to work remotely. Some Other tech giants have extended the work from home option for their employees with Microsoft Corp saying earlier this month it will let most employees work remotely for up to half their weekly working hours. Facebook Inc had said it would allow its employees to work from home till July next year.
