Another injured in firing in Delhi's Bhajanpura


New Delhi: A manager for the online retailer Amazon, age 36, was shot and killed there. When Harpreet Gill was riding a bike with a companion, five people allegedly opened fire on them. Late on Tuesday night, the incident happened.

 

The two were riding a motorcycle in the vicinity of Subhash Vihar in the Bhajanpura neighborhood, according to the police, when the attackers stopped them.

 

Harpreet was shot in the head and instantly died, while Govind Singh, a friend of Harpreet, was hit in the right ear.

 

Gill was employed at Amazon as a senior manager. Mr. Singh, 32, resides in Bhajanpura and runs a restaurant there named "Hungry Momos." At the moment, he is receiving care at LNJP hospital.

 

When the five attackers on a scooter and a motorcycle caught up with the pair and started shooting at them, they were riding a motorcycle.

 

Police are searching footage from nearby CCTV cameras to identify the culprits as all of the suspects are on the run.
